Description
El Circle Labs AS100 it is an integrated amplifier that revives a very valuable concept in high fidelity: doing few things, but doing them extremely well.
It incorporates no DAC, streaming, Bluetooth or phono stage. Its aim is more direct and more audiophile: to amplify line-level signals with the utmost cleanliness, stability and musicality possible. It is, therefore, an integrated amplifier for anyone who already has good external sources and wishes to build a serious system around solid, refined amplification with personality.
Its internal architecture is based on a construction dual mono, with separate power supplies for each channel. Volume control is carried out via a 63-step precision resistor ladder, controlled by high-quality relays. This solution offers greater precision, better channel balance, and greater long-term stability than a conventional potentiometer.
The AS100 uses proprietary technology Circle Power, developed by Circle Labs, combining transistors Burr-Brown J-FET with very low noise in the input stage and bipolar transistors in the output stage. The result is an amplifier with excellent dynamic range, good control over the loudspeakers and an open, natural and balanced sound.
Aesthetically, the AS100 retains Circle Labs’ classic identity: a glass front, gold-tone metallic accents, meticulous craftsmanship and an elegant appearance, free from passing fads. It is a device with an artisanal feel, yet with modern engineering at its core.
In terms of sound, it stands out for its intimate, fluid and well-organised presentation. It does not seek to impress with gimmicks, but rather to deliver music with balance, depth and naturalness. Firm bass, present mid-range, clear treble and a coherent soundstage make the AS100 a particularly interesting choice for the audiophile who values long listening sessions without fatigue.
