Yesterday I managed to try out the Denafrips for a bit and what a change!
Before, you could clearly hear that it was a recording and you couldn't really connect with the music, but now it crosses a barrier I thought was impossible with speakers.
Even my girlfriend, who was also in the living room, was surprised and sat down with me to listen to it, and that's even though at first, when she saw me come into the house with another gadget she gave me a funny look, but afterwards she confessed to me that the new acquisition was well worth it.

A digital marvel and totally essential in my audio chain.
My audio chain consists of hÖrns Aria loudspeakers, a Cayin CS55A amplifier and, as a source, the Cayin CS-100 DAP connected via digital I2S.
I've been using this wonderful DAC for several months now, and from the very first moment you plug it in, you can notice the change. My digital source is a Cayin CS-100DAP, which has an ES9028PRO DAC that already has a good sound, but the Pontus makes the different musical instruments much easier to distinguish, the decay of the sounds is more natural and smoother, sounds that I didn't perceive before appear, and in the instruments you hear more details, such as in the cymbals where you can better distinguish the sound of the impact and the vibration; all of this also applies to both voices and percussion instruments.
For me it has become a staple piece, my setup could no longer do without it. At first I was a bit reluctant; on the one hand, the Cayin CS100DAP already has a good DAC and I had doubts about whether it would make a difference in my audio chain, and on the other hand, the price (although for this type of DAC, being an R2R) is very reasonable considering everything it offers and the build quality: it is a very well-built piece of equipment, very solid and with top-notch finishes.
It's a component that refines and improves the quality of my setup, and which has caused a leap in sound quality, making me enjoy music much more.
I'd totally recommend it.
