Description

Gustard R26 II – R2R DAC with Integrated Network Streaming

El Gustard R26 II it is a high-end digital-to-analogue converter with architecture discrete R-2R y network LAN streaming capability, designed for those seeking natural, precise and uncoloured sound. It is the direct evolution of the original R26, but improved in clocking, power supply, stability and musical performance.

🔹 R-2R discrete architecture
Instead of generic DAC modules, the R26 II uses a high-precision resistor ladder that converts the digital signal into analogue directly, without complex modulations or aggressive oversampling. This results in a reproduction organic and musical, with more natural timbres and a solid soundstage.

🔹 Network streaming (LAN)
Thanks to its internal network module, the R26 II offers direct playback from DLNA/UPnP servers, Roon Ready support and network audio control without the need for external sources.

🔹 High-precision clock (GCLK-02)
Its advanced clock technology maintains synchronisation at extremely low jitter levels, bringing greater focus, stability and musicality.

🔹 Dual power supply with independent toroidal transformers
The digital and analogue sections feature separate transformers and built-in filtering, which reduces interference and noise and improves dynamics and background silence.

🔹 Wide digital compatibility
Supports high resolutions such as PCM up to 768 kHz y DSD512 (it varies depending on the input), guaranteeing maximum fidelity with high-resolution sources.

🔹 Full connectivity
It includes USB, AES/EBU, coaxial, optical and I2S inputs, alongside a LAN connection for network streaming. The analogue outputs are balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA, to suit any serious system.

🎼 Sound and Experience

The R26 II is not a simple converter; it is a piece designed to let the music breathe naturally. The bass is controlled and deep, the mids expressive and rich in detail, and the treble smooth yet extended., delivering a well-balanced sound presentation without listening fatigue.

This traditional approach to conversion and power translates into a sound that goes beyond numbers: music with body, with air and with an organic sense that many modern delta-sigma DACs do not achieve with such conviction.

Brand

Gustard

Gustard it is a manufacturer specialising in high-fidelity digital electronics that has successfully combined classical engineering with modern execution. Their designs focus on understated architecture, oversized power supplies and carefully crafted analogue stages, always prioritising real sonic performance over simplified solutions or passing fads. Along the same lines, Gustard has successfully adapted this philosophy to the modern context, integrating network and streaming functions directly into some of their models, without turning them into a mere secondary add-on. The result is equipment capable of functioning as Pure DAC or as an all-in-one solution, compatible with platforms such as Roon or Audirvana, which reduce system complexity without compromising quality or sound character. https://youtu.be/kYfe3W3ZrFI The company has earned a solid reputation among demanding enthusiasts for offering honest, technically ambitious products with a value-for-money ratio that is hard to match in high-end digital audio.
