Description
The two Benz Micro Ebony cartridges are perhaps the Swiss manufacturer's most unusual systems. Equipped with a Namiki Micro Ridge diamond and the ebony body known from the top-of-the-range LP-S model, the two meticulously handcrafted cartridges offer a special sound experience at the highest level.
However, both systems are completely different specialists in their field. Albert Lukaschek manufactures the Ebony TR specifically for connection to transformers. With an intrinsic impedance of just 1 ohm, it meets all the requirements for high-quality MC transformers.
With the Ebony SH, on the other hand, Benz Micro offers a version for direct connection to moving magnet (MM) phono inputs. Thanks to its high output voltage, the Ebony SH performs at its best even with valve phono amplifiers with a low gain factor or, for example, in less sensitive system configurations.
The choice remains for the most discerning connoisseur!
