Description
The 20/12 model features excellent instrument-quality machining allied to fundamental physics; the greater the mass and rigidity of the body, the less it will flex and vibrate, and the duration of a vibration is shortened by means of advanced damping treatment. The 20/12 model is efficient and effortless in tackling the problems of extraneous vibrations emanating from numerous sources, including structural and air-borne vibrations from loudspeakers, rhythm modulation, stray electric fields and the mechanical energy of moving parts.
An approximate weight of 36 kg is significant in relation to its size, as density matters. The thickness of the main and secondary chassis plate is 16 mm and resists bending at low frequencies, while high-frequency resonance is attenuated by efficient extensive damping.
The Model 20/12 ultimate performance turntable is available with or without an arm. The tone-arm options are the SME 300 Series 312S or the flagship SME Series V-12. Both tone-arm options are available with contrasting silver printed details or gold printed details. Crystal Cable internal wiring is standard equipment.
