LHY Audio LPS25VA 18V/1A – Low-Noise Linear Power Supply

The LHY Audio LPS25VA it is a linear power supply designed to improve the performance of audio equipment operating at 18V DC and have a maximum consumption of 1 A. It replaces the standard switched-mode adapter with a much cleaner, more stable and quieter power supply.

Inside it incorporates a transformer 25 VA Talema, precision regulation using OPA177, EMI filtering and an elaborate triple CLC filtering system. This assembly reduces electrical noise and interference from the mains, providing a more stable DC voltage and a noise level of less than 200 µV at full load.

 

Applied to phono stages, DACs, streamers, digital interfaces and other compatible small components, a cleaner power supply can promote a quieter background, a more defined presentation and a more ordered, natural musical reproduction.

The LPS25VA features two DC outputs, allowing one or two compatible devices to be powered as long as the total consumption does not exceed 1 A. Its output voltage can be adjusted approximately ±0.5 V using the control located on the rear panel.

The entire circuit is housed in a compact, solid aluminium chassis, which provides mechanical protection, shielding and proper thermal dissipation.

Important: before plugging it in, it must be checked that the appliance uses exactly 18V DC, that its consumption does not exceed 1 A and that the connector and polarity are compatible. Being a linear power supply, it is normal for it to reach a certain temperature during operation and it must be installed in a properly ventilated location.
