El Leonidas Extreme MK2 it is the version premium of the design Open Baffle created by Leon Huijgen, designed as a complete solution for those looking not only for a high-volume loudspeaker, but also a piece with genuine presence of high-end furniture. It is manufactured by hand, with meticulous execution and no compromises.

This version incorporates the Platinum-10, the Lii Song’s current signature driver, significantly improving the resolution, coherence and naturalness compared with the original design. The result is an open-baffle loudspeaker with a spacious, fluid and deeply musical sound, which is very easily associated with both valve amplifiers as well as transistors, provided that they offer genuine quality and are well managed.

The Liionidas Extreme remains true to the acoustic approach of the Leonidas Open Baffle original, but it introduces clear improvements to mechanical structure, stability and finish. The ensemble is based on a thick, extremely rigid metal spine, which reinforces the deflector and ensures that the entire structure is held firmly and securely in place. The Liionidas crossover It is integrated into this metal backplate, with the connection terminals already positioned next to the speakers, thereby avoiding complications and facilitating neat and straightforward wiring.

The lower base has been replaced by a heavy-duty metal platform with spikes, ensuring absolute stability on both hard floors and carpets. Everything has been designed so that the whole unit behaves like a solid block, without vibrations or any artificial movements.

The finish black piano takes place in piano factory, using a thick, baked lacquer process. The surface is completely flat, deep and mirror-like in its shine, with exceptional hardness that allows it to be cleaned with a simple cloth, without fear of marks or residue. It is a finish that looks, feels and comes across as exactly what it is: fine cabinetmaking applied to audio equipment.
