The Cayin Soul 170C is an all-valve preamplifier conceived for purists of analogue sound. Its architecture — entirely hand-wired point-to-point, with handmade toroidal power transformers, a solid aluminium chassis and walnut side panels — reflects the classic philosophy of “true high fidelity” construction, where every detail counts. The signal travels through a carefully selected chain of eight valves (ECC83, 6SN7GTB, 6CA7 and 17AX4GT), allowing for clean, dynamic amplification with the characteristic warmth of the tube, whilst maintaining a silent noise floor thanks to a signal-to-noise ratio of 100 dB.

Delivery, as always, the very next day and everything was spot on; seeing it in person is truly impressive – the build quality is outstanding, once you plug it in and play it, it’s like rediscovering your entire discography thanks to the musical warmth and the information it provides.
