What an experience I've had with my new Cayin A 845 Pro!
I have to tell you about this valve amplifier I've just added to my collection. You know, I've tried loads of amps over the years, but this one… this is something else. My old favourites, the Quicksilver monoblocks with KT88 valves and the Audio Research Classic 60, also with KT88s, were great, but the Cayin A 845 Pro has easily surpassed them.
I've connected the Cayin A 845 Pro to my ProAc D15 and Spendor S100 loudspeakers, and in both cases, the sound is spectacular! It suits each of them like a glove, bringing out the best in them. With the ProAcs, the clarity is mind-blowing, and with the Spendors, those deep bass and crisp treble notes are a marvel.
I am a huge fan of jazz and Romantic classical music, and this amplifier has been like a dream for these genres. The jazz sounds so clear and atmospheric that it feels like you are in a live club. And the classical music… well, it takes you straight to the heart of every piece. The depth and warmth of the sound are something I had not experienced before, even with the Quicksilvers and the Audio Research.
The build quality of the Cayin A 845 Pro is impressive, looking and feeling robust and elegant. And every listening session is an adventure. I'm rediscovering old albums and hearing details I've never noticed before. It isn't just playing music; it's revealing a whole new dimension in the recordings.
This beast is not just a piece of kit. It is a complete experience, a window to the best of music. It has connected me with my jazz and classical favourites in a way I never imagined. Every time I switch it on, I get ready for an exciting and immersive journey. Definitely, if you enjoy music as much as I do, this amp is something you have to try.

Together, they create a very good combination: the amplifier brings incredible warmth and depth, while the speakers stand out for their ambient clarity and the way they handle vocals

I recently acquired a combination of a Cayin 845 PRO 25th Anniversary valve amplifier and Lyritech Audio Magic 10 Galeano loudspeakers. Now, having done part of the running-in for both items, I can give my thoughts.
I’ve been impressed by the sound from the speakers – particularly the naturalness of the sound and the depth they produce with the Cayin.
