Description

Velodyne Acoustics Impact X

These high-power subwoofers combine efficient front-firing drivers with a downward- or rear-firing bass reflex port.

The Impact X series creates a lasting impression with astonishing low-frequency sound. The attractive MDF cabinet of the subwoofers, available in black and white finishes, blends seamlessly with modern decor. The music and home cinema experience from the smallest possible cabinet benefits enormously from the completely redesigned 10 and 12-inch driver units, which set new standards in this price range. A highly efficient Class D amplifier, combined with Velodyne Acoustics' core technologies, minimises distortion and enables astonishing bass performance.

Now joining the Impact X range is a 15-inch subwoofer. It features a special flow-optimised slot port on the rear used as a bass reflex. With a lower cut-off frequency of 19 hertz and 9 DSP modes that also control room modes, it is specially designed for demanding home cinema applications and large living rooms.

Features

• The 10, 12 and 15-inch active transducers of the three models deliver powerful low-frequency sound with the bass reflex port on the bottom or rear.
• Nine DSP presets adjustable via remote control on the 15-inch model (four on Impact X 10 and 12-inch)
• With 600 watts of peak power (1,000 watts on the 15-inch model), the classic Class D amplifier provides plenty of power for the ultimate home cinema experience.
• Anti-clipping circuits to limit amplifier distortion
